Security Guard (Casual)

Guardteck Security is looking for Casual Security Officers for Vancouver BC.

What you should have:

• Flexible availability
• Valid British Columbia Basic Security Training
• Advanced Security Training (Preferred but not mandatory)
• Valid OFA Level 1
• Minimum 1 year of experience in security and customer service
• Minimum 6 months security experience working alone; comfortable working alone
• Must be confident in verbal conflict de-escalation
• Proficient in the English language (verbal & written)
• Able to complete high-quality reports
• Strong customer service skills; friendly, accommodating but assertive and steadfast when it comes to rules enforcement for both Occupants and People of Interest encountered around the building.
• Professional approach to role; acting in a disciplined, honest and ethical manner
• Able to patrol and stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to follow procedures and set routines effectively
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Experience working in a Commercial or Residential office tower preferred
