Premium Security Guard (Vancouver downtown,) full time afternoon or night shifts

Genesis is recruiting for top caliber and experienced Premium Security Response Team (SRT) and Lot Security Team members for a premium client’s downtown Vancouver parkade sites that pay an hourly rate of $20.52 to start and $20.91 after 3 months’ probation. We prefer those with full time availability.

Rotations:

• SRT – 3 to 5 nights per week rotations, 0000 to 0800 hours, or 0100 to 0900 hours; or
• Lot Security (non driving) – 3 to 5 afternoons / week rotation, 1500 to 2300 hours.

Pre-requisites

• Valid BC Security Licence
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with clean abstract (NOT Class 7 or International licences) for SRT position. You will be driving company’s fleet vehicles.
• Must have minimum 6 month’s security experience working at challenging sites in or similar to "Downtown Eastside" Vancouver environment.
• Physically fit to patrol long distances continuously and climb a multitude of stairs as well as conduct regular evictions of trespassers.
• Speak, read and write fluent English, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Multitude comprehensive and well written reports are required for Every shift.
• Pleasant in demeanor and project a professional and well-groomed image.
• Customer-service focused and a team player, with strong attention to detail.
• Positive and outgoing personality, a self-starter with high initiative.

Candidates with the following experience / certification will be given priority:

• DTE / Parkade / Mobile / Club Security
• Conflict Resolution
• Customer Service
• First Aid Level 1

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.52-$20.91 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Every Weekend
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift

Experience:
