Job Overview:

As the Overnight Security Manager you will oversee security operations for our overnight static security contracts. With exceptional leadership skills, a strong understanding of security operations, and a customer-focused mindset, you will be responsible for developing and growing your security team, ensuring our overnight operations run smoothly to deliver the highest quality of security services to our clients. In this role, you will report directly to the Regional Manager in the Lower Mainland, Western Canada Operations Manager and ultimately the Director of Operations. This full-time position requires a flexible schedule, and overnight availability to meet the needs of our business operations.

Job Description

  • Understand Key contacts, post orders, and special considerations for all overnight sites,
  • Regularly meet with clients or representatives to proactively identify potential or ongoing issues and provide strategic support to aid with client retention
  • Participate in and lead the selection, development, management, and leadership of the selected supervisory staff.
  • Ensure, hold, and be held accountable for, the maintenance of professional communication at all times between team members.
  • Overseeing disciplinary actions of your staff as necessary, with input from HR and your Regional and Operations Manager.
  • Oversee the performance of supervisors in your district and ensure they have a clear understanding of their job responsibilities
  • Overseeing proper field training and orientation for employees.
  • Supporting HR in the recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and management of staff issues required by assigned HR staff.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with the security team.
  • Provide necessary training to team members to perform their roles to the best of their capabilities
  • Schedule and assign staff to sites to meet all operational KPIs.
  • Filling open shifts when they occur, or short notice guard requests.
  • Work billable floor hours as assigned to you.
  • Manage company-owned assets and conduct audits to update required reports.
  • Support your direct managers with designing and maintaining post orders for each site.
  • Participate in projects, investigations, and special assignments as directed by the leadership and company ownership team.
  • Support the Regional Manager in his role to manage operational spending and expenses.
  • Reporting on regional metrics and KPIs regularly

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years combined experience working in the security industry.
  • 1 + years of Supervisory experience with proven leadership experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of Management experience.
  • A valid BC Security Workers License and Driver’s License.
  • Access and willingness to use your own vehicle for work-related travel (gas and parking will be reimbursed).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgment calls.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with Tracktik or other security operations software.
