Blackbird Security Inc is looking to hire a Mobile Security Manager in Vancouver, BC.
Role Summary
Your primary responsibility will be to manage and lead our Mobile department in the Lower Mainland. The focus of this role is to ensure operational efficiency and manage day-to-day mobile operations. This role reports to the Regional Manager and Operations Manager. You will also work closely with various teams to analyze, strategize and implement security operations to meet and exceed client expectations and optimize mobile operations.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise day and overnight Mobile Security Operations.
- Supervise and train mobile supervisors and overnight mobile security officers.
- Spot check guards to ensure Post Orders are being followed and they are adhering to company/client policies.
- Conduct spot checks to ensure that the overnight staff is on-site, well trained, well dressed, knowledgeable, has the right attitude towards their role, and fully comprehends what their role is meant to accomplish.
- Deliver resources to sites when required, and at the same time, check on the quality service levels being provided by our employees, ensuring that he/she is very aware of the job functions and performing them properly.
- Utilize the scheduling system to manage staff assignments and monitor their activities at different locations during your shift.
- Address onsite issues promptly as requested by the Operations Manager and provide backup services when required.
- Proactively deal with onsite issues to ensure client satisfaction.
- Visit assigned sites regularly to ensure excellent client care and foster positive working relationships with security personnel.
- Motivate and coach employees to enhance their performance and job satisfaction.
- Provide key control measures when needed.
- Cover floor time if needed.
- Defuse disturbances by company policies and procedures.
- Understand and have knowledge of the company policies pertaining to the well-being of staff and the provision of operational services.
- Handle all interruptions and complaints in the assigned district.
- Oversee completion of staff site reports are done accurately and professionally, helping site staff to develop this skill to an expected level.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with supervisors and site guards.
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
- Defuse potentially volatile situations and intervene when necessary.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Security License is required.
- A valid Driver's license and own vehicle are required.
- Willingness to provide a Clean Drivers Abstract.
- Must be available to work shifts during the afternoon and overnight, as well as, day shifts as required.
- Prior supervisory and management experience is required.
- Strong understanding of mobile operations and protocols.
- 3 + years of experience working in Mobile Security and leading teams.
- Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters preferred.
- Proven leadership abilities, able to mentor and lead a team of security professionals effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to stakeholders.
- Retail security experience is an asset.
