Summary
The Security Event Dispatcher serves as the central communication and coordination hub during security operations and emergency events. This role is responsible for dispatching personnel and resources, monitoring real-time activity, and supporting incident response using the Incident Command System (ICS). The Dispatcher plays a critical role in maintaining situational awareness, ensuring responder safety, and supporting effective incident management in high-pressure environments.
Job Duties:
- Act as the primary point of contact for field personnel, supervisors, and emergency responders.
- Dispatch security staff, vehicles, and equipment based on operational needs and incident priorities.
- Maintain continuous communication with field teams using radio, phone, and digital platforms.
- Initiate and support response procedures for incidents such as security breaches, wildfire threats, medical emergencies, evacuations, or large-scale events.
- Operate within the Incident Command System (ICS), supporting command staff with timely and accurate information.
- Escalate incidents appropriately and coordinate with external agencies when required.
- Monitor live operations, personnel locations, and workload distribution.
- Identify hazards, emerging risks, or operational gaps and proactively notify supervisors and field staff. Support responder safety by tracking movements, status checks, and incident progression.
- Utilize Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems, radios, GPS, mapping software, and tracking tools.
- Maintain accurate real-time data related to personnel, incidents, and resources.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues and ensure effective use of dispatch systems.
- Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and resource tracking records. Ensure documentation aligns with ICS standards and organizational reporting requirements. Support post-incident reviews with accurate timelines and records.
Skill Required:
- Must hold a ICS (Incident Command Systems) Certificate
- Demonstrate experience in dispatch, security operations, emergency services, or a related coordination role.
- Possess the ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environment with strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication abilities, proficiency with digital tools and dispatch software, and strong attention to detail while maintaining accuracy under pressure.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
