Webuild has won a new contract to deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line(Pape North Connect)_ and we are currently seeking a System Security Manager – Physical ._
This position is a full-time 100% onsite position at our downtown office.
Position Overview:
The System Security Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive security strategy that safeguards the Pape North Connect’s assets, passengers, employees, and information systems. This role requires a professional with extensive experience in security management, risk assessment, and crisis response. The System Security Manager will work closely with internal teams and external partners, including law enforcement and emergency services, to ensure a secure transit environment.
System Security Manager will have extensive experience in the field of system security applied in a metro type rail transit environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Security Planning: Develop, implement, and oversee the corporate security strategy, policies, and procedures.
- Align security strategies with the overall goals and mission of the Pape North Connect.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and threat analyses to identify vulnerabilities.

- Leadership and Management: Lead the Security Department, providing direction, mentorship, and support to security personnel.
- Coordinate with other departments, including IT, HR, and operations, to integrate security measures across the organization.
- Manage the budget for security operations and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Crisis and Incident Management: Develop and maintain crisis management and emergency response plans.
- Lead the organization’s response to security incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with local, regional, and national law enforcement and emergency services during incidents.
- Public Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of passengers, employees, and infrastructure, including transit stations, vehicles, and facilities.
- Implement and oversee security measures, including surveillance systems, access control, and patrolling.
- Develop and promote security awareness and training programs for staff and the public.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare and present security reports to the executive team and board of directors.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and other external agencies as required.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging security technologies and trends.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in security practices and protocols.
- Implement innovative security solutions to enhance the safety and efficiency of Pape North Connect operations.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a senior security role, preferably within the transportation, infrastructure, or public sector.
- Demonstrated experience in security risk management, emergency response, and crisis management.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies, systems, and best practices.
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, CIS) and in cybersecurity technologies and tools, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and antivirus software would be an asset.

Pay: $150,000.00-$225,000.00 per year
