Job Overview
Taslan Protective Services Inc. is recruiting licensed Security Guards for a short-term assignment supporting PRIDE events in Downtown Toronto this June 2025

This is a great opportunity to earn additional income while contributing to the safety and success of one of the city’s most vibrant and inclusive celebrations. Shifts will include 24-hour site coverage, and some overnight availability will be required.

Duties-

• Ensure the safety and security of all event attendees, staff, and property.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and event grounds. Performing an access control and bag checks as required.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and potential safety concerns.
• Assist with crowd control while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
• Promote a respectful and inclusive environment for all individuals.

Requirements-

• 1-year of experience in security industry is preferred.
• Must be age 18 or older.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License, First-Aid/CPR Certificate and Smart Serve.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Must be physically fit to perform patrol duties and respond quickly in emergencies.

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 1-2 weeks

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Flexible language requirement:

• French not required

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift
• Night shift
• On call

Experience:

• Security guard: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Security Guard Licence (preferred)
• First Aid Certification (preferred)
• CPR Certification (preferred)
• Smart Serve (preferred)
