Security Guard

We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Security Guard for a full-time position with our client, a private educational institution in Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming campus environment. A minimum of one year of security experience is required, with preference given to candidates who have worked in an educational setting. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this position, as the role involves frequent interaction with students, staff, and visitors in a professional and approachable manner.

Position Overview:

Location: Bloor St. E and Mount Pleasant Rd.

Shift: Monday to Friday from 1500hrs to 2300hrs

Payrate: $18.25/hr

Easily accessibly by transit and free parking is available on site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Control access to campus gates, permitting entry only to authorized persons.
• Deter and stop both vehicular and pedestrian trespassers.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Perform foot patrols inside and outside the building, covering multiple floors.
• Monitor traffic during camp drop-off and pick-up periods.
• Escort medical staff, including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Tech savvy, working on multiple systems.

Assist client employees with inquiries.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification
• 1+ years of Security experience within a similar capacity
• Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures, including emergency response
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Team player and outstanding customer service abilities

Must be available to work various shifts based on business needs.
