Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Lead Security Guard for a full-time position with our client, an established financial services provider in the automotive sector, facilitating vehicle sales and distribution. Reporting to the Security Manager, as the Lead Security Guard, you will be responsible for manning the main reception area at our client’s site and greeting all visitors, guests, clients that arrive. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition for all guests into their location, following the necessary access protocols. You will be a Customer Service Ambassador while upholding Securitas’ Core Values; Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.

Position Overview:

Payrate: $22.50 /hr – $23.00/hr

Shift timings: Monday to Friday, 0600-1400

Location: North York, ON

Lead Security Guard Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Greeting all Visitors/Guest/Customers
    • Ensuring all visitors are registered in the site visitor app.
    • Providing visitor badges to all visitors, outlining the protocols for wearing badges.
    • Reminding all visitors of Health & Safety guidelines during the visit.
    • Ensuring all visitors sign in and out while on site.
    • Notify relevant personnel of visitor arrivals, as required.
    • Respond to and provide support during emergency situations.
    • Perform weekly audits for the client’s Security department, as needed.
    • All other duties as assigned by the Security Manager
  • Under the direction of the Security Manager, assist with all administrative duties for the Security Department
    • Completing the daily tasks as assigned
    • Completing required site patrols as required
    • Tracking and submitting Payroll
    • Maintaining all training records and documents
    • Basic clerical duties such as writing employee memos and filing paperwork are required.
    • Writing detailed Incident Reports and forwarding copies to the Operations Manager and Security Manager for all issues that arise during their shift according to procedure.
    • Ensuring that all paperwork is properly completed and signed off on. This includes Shift Reports, Incident Reports, etc.
    • Respond to emergencies and effectively manages the scene.
    • Respond to all Security email request and inquires in a timely manner. Escalates and directs inquires to Management when needed.
    • Maintain Security at the main reception area.
    • At times support Customer Visits to the client’s site.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Ontario Security License
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certification
  • 2+ years of Lead Security or Supervisory experience within a corporate environment
  • Performance management experience
  • Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures, including emergency response
  • Experience with access control system and CCTV systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player and outstanding customer service skills
  • Advanced Computer Skills
  • A post-Secondary education (preferred)
