Security Guard

Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring property, preventing theft, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to incidents. Prior experience is a plus.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
• Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary
• Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations
• Control access points by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes as needed
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures to uphold a secure environment
• Provide assistance to staff and visitors as required, including directions or emergency response support

Requirements

• Security guard license and First aid CPR
• Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrol duties outdoors or indoors as needed
• Must be at least 18 years old with a clean background check
• Ability to pass any required training or certification programs related to security procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.15-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
