ABOUT THE ROLE

The Security Officer oversees the safety and security of the hotel guests and employees. This person will follow safety and security standards and complete incident reports as required.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for responding to guest and employee emergencies
  • Completing incident reports and investigations related to guest safety and security
  • Providing basic first aid and emergency mitigation for guests and colleagues
  • Creating and implementing safety and security protocols and procedures for the hotel
  • Distribution, communication, and training of all procedures as well as crucial security topics
  • Participation in all risk and safety audits within the hotel
  • Regular monitoring/walking of hotel premises
  • Managing all security needs for VIP guests and their arrivals on the property
  • Maintain outstanding customer service in all interactions with guests and colleagues

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A genuine desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • Previous security experience is preferred
  • Must have a valid Ontario Security Guard license
