About the Role:

Irving Security Corps Inc. is urgently hiring 4 licensed Security Guards for a public event at Mel Lastman Square.

We are looking for dependable, professional security guards who are available for the full duration of the event and can provide excellent customer service while maintaining a safe environment.

Location: Mel Lastman Square, North York

Dates:

• Saturday, June 13
• Sunday, June 14

Shift Time:

• 12:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide crowd control and maintain a safe event environment
• Perform access control and perimeter checks
• Respond to incidents and emergencies professionally
• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining firm security presence
• Work in various indoor and outdoor venues (concerts, festivals, corporate events, etc.)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of tactical and event security experience
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License (must be active and in good standing)
• Ability to provide Criminal Record Check and Judicial Matters Check upon hire
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written – must be able to complete detailed reports)
• Own vehicle or reliable transportation to various event sites in the GTA
• Strong communication and observational skills
• Professional appearance, reliable, and strong communication skills
• Calm demeanor and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
• Reliability, punctuality.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and patrol large venues.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must be comfortable working long shifts and standing for extended periods

Assets (Preferred but not required)

• First Aid/CPR Cerification
• Crowd control and de-escalation training
• Previous experience working with VIPS or public officials

Uniform Requirements: All Event Guards are expected to wear Irving Security Corps approved security uniforms while on duty:

• Black Cargo Pants.
• CSA-approved black footwear.
• Irving Security Corps-issued Security Shirt.
• Valid ID badge with name or license number displayed

Note: If you already own any required items, they may be approved for use by management.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.20-$19.50 per hour
