Job Summary

Hyatt Place Hyatt House Missisauga Airport Corporate Centre is seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment through effective surveillance and security protocols. This role is vital to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, or emergencies, including potential theft or unauthorized access.
• Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent loss or damage to property.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
• Assist in controlling access points by verifying credentials and managing visitor check-ins.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to resolve incidents effectively.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff while maintaining a secure environment.

Requirements

• Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential security threats quickly.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally.
• Ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations.
• Must be able to pass background checks and any required training certifications.
• Availability to work flexible shifts as needed, including nights or weekends if required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
