Security Guard (Foot Patrol)

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Duties

• Foot Patrol
• Patrolling of large spaces on foot not vehicle
• Communicate with staff, including site management and security personnel, in a professional manner.
• Address and manage security incidents and emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure seamless shift transitions and consistent security coverage.
• Perform regular patrols and site checks to maintain security standards.
• 40-44 Hour work week

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in foot Patrol and Hospital or Corporate Office Building.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is preferred.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during shifts.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, staff, and law enforcement personnel.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively while maintaining professionalism.
• Drivers (G) Licence not necessary but nice to have
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Open availability for rotational shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 44 hours a week.
• Must be at least 20 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.Disclaimer:
