Security Guard

Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and enforcement of safety protocols. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and quick response are essential. Prior experience in law enforcement or security is a plus, but comprehensive training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
• Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as needed
• Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes
• Enforce loss prevention measures by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when necessary
• Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents requiring external intervention
• Ensure all security procedures comply with company policies and legal regulations

Qualifications

• Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques is advantageous
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, visitors, and emergency responders
• Must be reliable, vigilant, and committed to maintaining a safe environment
• Ability to pass any required background checks or screenings necessary for the role

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
