Job Description

Security Clearance Coordinator

Reports to: Director, Talent Acquisition

Purpose of Position

This position supports the Talent Acquisition team with conducting and processing security clearances to ensure that clearances are in compliance with corporate and government policies and directives.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office based in our North York office with the opportunity for a hybrid environment.

Structure and Relationship

Reporting directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition, this position interfaces with various stakeholders including Talent Acquisition Advisors, Account Managers, Administrators and Senior Leadership.

Required Skills

This position is well-suited for an individual who possesses the following skills:

  • Minimum 1 year experience processing security clearances in a high-volume capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information to various audiences and all levels of the organization, both verbally and through written communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions, manage time, take independent action, analyze problems and provide focused solutions.
  • Must be dependable, responsive, and customer-focused.
  • Possess the qualities of diplomacy, tact, and initiative to perform in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service skills and strong attention to detail.

Task Related Objectives

  • Process a high-volume of security clearances for various sites, including new clearance requests and transfers.
  • Oversee the security clearance process from beginning to end and ensure that all contract security clauses are adhered to.
  • Interface with candidates daily to better help them understand the process and requirements.
  • Ensure that required documentation is submitted to complete the clearance process.
  • Ensure the proper completion of all documents and forms in a timely manner.
  • Provide reports to upper-level management regarding the screening status of candidates.
  • Be GardaWorld's official point of contact with Company Security Officer (CSO) and/or any other parities to ensure that security issues are properly addressed and coordinated.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
