Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Professional Guards in North York, ON.

Title: Security Guard, Full Time (Permanent)

Location: North York, ON (close to Dufferin and Steeles)

Payrate: $19.00-$19.78/hour

Schedule: 2230-0630/ 2230-1030

Due to site requirements in pharamecutical, individuals will be required to provide proof of vaccination for the following:

• Diphtheria
• Pertussis
• Tetanus

Province should be covering costs of vaccinations. However, should there be any fees Allied Universal will cover costs associated with vaccination, should regulations for Ontario change.

Overview:

Allied Universal is currently hiring experienced Security Professionals for our operations in North York, ON. The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with strong communication abilities, a readiness to work rotating shifts, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a dynamic security team. If you have a background as a Security professional, enjoy patrolling, and can uphold a high standard of professionalism, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor access control and CCTV systems
• Patrol large areas, on foot and by vehicle
• Communicate professionally with staff, including site management and security teams
• Handle security incidents and emergencies calmly and efficiently
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth shift transitions and consistent security coverage
• Conduct regular patrols and site inspections to maintain security standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Must have 1-2 years of experience in a Hospital or Corporate Office Building.
• Must be at 25 years of age, due to company vehicle insurance requirements.
• Valid (G) Licence (Ontario), with a clean drivers abstract.
• Eligible to work in Canada 40 hours a week, due to shift requirements.
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
• Standard CPR or willing to obtain one (reimbursement will be provided)
• Proficent with Microsoft Office and use of computers
• Proven experience with CCTV camera monitoring.
• Position requires "foot patrols", extended periods of walking (indoors/outdoors)
• Ability to drive in all weather conditions, as patrols are required using company vehicle.
• Standard First Aid and CPR (reimbursement provided where necessary)
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 15 kilograms.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
