Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guard in Downtown Toronto, ON

Title: Security Guard

Location: Downtown Toronto, ON

Payrate: $22.00/hour

Schedule: Saturday – Sunday, 18:00 – 06:00

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking experienced Security Guards for our security operations in Downtown Toronto, ONThe ideal candidate is a seasoned guard with excellent communication skills, willing to work rotational shifts, and able to work within a dynamic security team. If you have experience as a Security Guard, enjoy patrolling, and can maintain a high level of professionalism, we’d like to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Manage access control at the gatehouse, ensuring only authorized individuals and vehicles enter the premises.
• Monitor CCTV systems to oversee activity at entry points and across the site.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with staff, including site management and other security personnel.
• Respond to and handle security incidents or emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Coordinate with team members for smooth shift changes, ensuring continuous security coverage.
• Perform regular patrols and site checks to maintain security standards across the property.
• Oversee the signing in and out of visitors and contractors, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
• Maintain a log of all gatehouse activities, including entries, exits, and any unusual occurrences.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience.
• Standard First Aid and CPR.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Open availability for rotational shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 24 hours a week.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.
