About us

The Bronson Music Theatre is one of Ottawa’s premier live music venues, hosting local and international artists. We’re hiring experienced Security Guards to support our event roster.

The role

This is casual, shift-based work scheduled around our event calendar — not full-time and not guaranteed weekly hours. We average 8 to 10 events per month, starting around 6PM. Our schedule suits people with a steady day job who want consistent evening work, not people looking for their first security position.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, professional security presence at concerts and events
• Manage entry control, ID and bag checks, and crowd flow
• Identify and de-escalate disturbances early; escalate to lead or police when needed
• Escort individuals off premises professionally and proportionately
• Maintain clear radio communication with the team and event lead
• Safeguard performers, staff, and patrons throughout the shift

Who you are

• Calm, composed, and professional in loud, crowded environments
• Strong de-escalation and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working a full shift on your feet and moving through dense crowds
• Reliable — you confirm shifts in advance and show up on time, every time
