Security Guards (Government Secret Clearance Only)

Shield Security Services is currently hiring security guards in the Ottawa area who possess a Reliability or Secret Government clearance.

Responsibilities:
– Patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
– Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
– Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
– Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
– Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
– Monitor and operate CCTV cameras and other surveillance equipment to maintain a safe and secure environment
– Perform access control duties by verifying identification and ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises

Requirements:

– Must have a Reliability or Secret Government clearance
– Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position
– Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
– Strong observation skills with attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.55-$19.00 per hour
