Job Description

What you will do

The Security and Loss Prevention Manager at Nordik Spa-Nature Chelsea is responsible for overseeing the spa’s security operations and managing a team of around 10 agents. Key responsibilities include identifying hazards, managing sensitive files, coordinating with local law enforcement, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role involves managing security equipment, reviewing incident reports, and providing coaching to team members.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of approximately 10 Security and Loss Prevention Agents at the Nordik Spa-Nature | Chelsea
  • Provide support, coaching, and feedback to team members. Participate in the recruitment and integration of new members
  • Ensure the follow-up of the emergency response plan for the spa; provide EMP training to staff on a regular basis
  • Identify hazards and recommend corrections to senior management
  • Review the and approve security incident reports for the Chelsea site
  • Manage the organization’s relationship with local law enforcement
  • Manage sensitive files (personal injury, claims of criminal activity, etc.)
  • Ensure the follow-up of first aid supplies (inventory, availability, and general condition)
  • Oversee the development and implementation Security and Loss Prevention strategies for the Nordik Spa-Nature | Chelsea
  • Serve as a resource person during inspections by the CNESST and the prevention mutual; in collaboration with the human resources team
  • Take charge of the follow-up and inventory of communication and access equipment related to security; surveillance cameras, radios, ID cards, keys, and any other technology

  • Perform any other related tasks.


What is the profile needed in order to be successful in this position

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in the security industry, ideally with a background in hospitality;
  • Customer service experience, essential;
  • Ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers, and other associates;
  • Possess and maintain a valid BSP security licence and First aid certification.
  • Strong problem solving abilities;
  • Possess a sense of urgency and an ability to deal with stress.

You will work a flexible schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays),

Full time position (40 hours/week).

The salary is based on the pay scale and benefits in effect.
