Bar Security Guard – Nightlife & Customer Safety

Horizonor Inc. is seeking confident, professional Security Guards to support a fast-paced nightlife environment. This role is focused on maintaining a safe, controlled, and enjoyable atmosphere for patrons and staff. Guards will be responsible for access control, conflict prevention, and incident response in a high-energy setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor entry points and verify ID / age compliance
• Manage capacity and control patron flow in and out of the venue
• Identify and address intoxication or disruptive behaviour early
• De-escalate conflicts professionally and effectively
• Remove individuals when required in a safe and controlled manner
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the premises
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter issues
• Complete detailed incident reports when required
• Work closely with management and staff to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License (required)
• Smart Serve Certification
• First Aid & CPR Certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods
• Professional appearance and demeanor

Preferred Qualifications (Assets)

• Previous bar, nightclub, or event security experience
• Use of Force / Defensive Tactics Training
• Experience handling intoxicated individuals
