Security Staff

The Heart & Crown Irish Pub is looking to add security personal to the team.If you would describe yourself as an observant, patient, team-player, this may be the position for you.

As the first and last face that our guests see, it is imperative that our security staff give off a friendly but professional energy. You will be in charge of the safety and security of everyone within the building (both patrons and staff alike) while ensuring our guests are having a good time.

Ideally, you will be operating in the background as a silent observer, as much of your time will be dedicated to monitoring and reading the crowd for possible problems and intervening and de-escalating any scenarios that may become difficult.

What we expect from you:

• Greeting patrons/checking IDs
• Providing security and safety Monitoring outdoor perimeter for safety concerns
• Assessing patrons at the door as well as in the building for intoxication or aggression
• Interacting with other security staff, communicating any concerns and providing support if needed
• Communication with management in the event of any situation that is deemed a risk
• Monitoring capacity
• Removing any guests deemed a security hazard while maintaining professionalism Filling out reports on security issues as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

• Physically fit
• Ability to lift 40 lbs or more
• Ability to stand for many hours at a time
• Excellent communication, deescalation, negotiation and conflict-resolution
• Ability to work outdoors 12 months out of the year
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Ontario security license

Pay: $25.00 per hour
