Outside Services Attendant

As the Outside Services Attendant, you will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Security. You will be responsible for parking control, deployment of WinSport campus signage and other functions within the Outside Services area.

The successful candidates must be available to work Friday, Saturday and Sundays, and fully available over the Christmas and Spring Break periods.

What you will be doing:

• Provide information, assistance and direction to onsite guests and guests arriving at Canada Olympic Park
• Direct traffic and provide parking access and assistance in designated areas
• Provide crowd and access control at various and predetermined locations during special events
• Identify park-wide safety concerns. Rectify these items or reports them to appropriate personnel
• Act as a crossing guard when required
• Assist Patrol, Security and other departments with various jobs
• Assist with the setup and takedown of equipment for functions and special events
• Demonstrate a safe work practice at all times by adhering to all WinSport safety policy and procedures and ensuring one’s safety is preserved along with the security of co-workers, direct reports and WinSport guests
• Other duties as assigned

What you bring:

• Aged 18+
• Mature, friendly, customer service oriented individual
• Experience in dealing with the public and excellent oral communication skills
• Previous relevant employment experience

Physical Demands:

• Lifting, bending, crouching, pulling
• Frequent walking and standing in varying conditions and all types of weather (rain, snow, heat or extreme cold)
