Job Description

True North Security is looking for people with customer service skills to join our Security team for Calgary area Festivals, Sporting events, and other special events. We have more work than we have guards. The Event world is booming and we need good Licensed people to join the team!

We are gearing up for a very busy year working FESTIVALS. In addition we have work available for special events, we often have event sites to look after 24hrs a day. Some of the big events coming up soon include the The Calgary Stampede, Stampeders Games, Country Thunder, Big Valley Jamboree, and So much more!

We are primarily looking to fill Event Security positions, and are hoping to find people that are a good fit for the team. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about what working with us looks like!

What does the job involve?:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and people skills
  • Responding to emergencies or disturbances in your area
  • Conducting searches of people and their belongings.
  • Crowd management
  • Writing detailed, accurate reports for any incidents you encounter
  • Performing arrests for offences when legally and situationally appropriate

To get started with us, you’ll need to have at least the following when you apply:

  • Alberta Security Licence
  • Medical training (first aid, EMR, etc.) or control tactics training (PPCT, CTSS, TAPPS, etc.)

Ideally, you will also already have:

  • AGLC ProTect & ProServe (you will have to obtain both online within 30 days after employment)
  • Experience working in security or customer service positions
