Position: Mobile Supervisor

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mobile Supervisor to join our security team. This role involves supervising guards, conducting site inspections, managing reports, and ensuring safety during patrols. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience in a security supervisory role, a strong technological aptitude, and an excellent driving record. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security operations and will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of our mobile patrol team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Oversight: Supervise and support mobile patrol guards, ensuring compliance with protocols and procedures.
  • Training: Provide training to new staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge for their roles.
  • Site Setup: Assist in setting up new sites and implementing security protocols as required.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between guards and management, facilitating clear communication and timely information sharing.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular visits to patrol sites, ensuring proper procedures are followed and addressing any issues immediately.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed and thorough reports on patrol activities, incidents, and inspections, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Welfare Checks: Perform welfare checks on guards to ensure their safety and well-being during shifts.
  • Patrol Duties: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, checking for security breaches and maintaining the integrity of the premises.
  • Call Management: Respond promptly to alarm calls and other emergency situations, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
  • Sign-In/Sign-Out Procedures: Manage the sign-in and sign-out process for guards, ensuring accurate tracking of attendance and shifts.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate relevant information to clients and provide updates on security status and incidents.
  • Driving: Maintain an excellent driving record, responsible for operating company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Technology Use: Utilize company software for reporting and tracking patrols, demonstrating proficiency with technology.
  • Time Management: Efficiently manage time to complete patrols and site inspections within assigned timeframes.
  • Detail Orientation: Exhibit a keen eye for detail to inspect guards and sites effectively, knowing what to report and what not to.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent verbal and written skills for reporting, taking calls, sending emails, and preparing clear reports.
  • Emergency Response: Coordinate with authorities such as medical and police departments when necessary, conveying information accurately and tactfully.
  • Conflict Resolution: Handle interactions with vagrants and other individuals tactfully, ensuring situations are de-escalated and managed appropriately.
  • Certification: Hold certifications such as First Aid and ProServe Protection as assets.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a mobile supervisory role within the security industry.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
  • Proven ability to work independently and make quick decisions.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the role, demonstrating a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends (12-hour shifts).
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for effective reporting and client interaction.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
