Security Guard

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated security person to join our London House team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring our 30 story building with 2 parkades. You will be here to ensure the safety of our valued tenants and our premises, take after hour emergency calls, as well as patrol the building and the parkades.

It is important to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in various environments, ensuring that all areas are safe and welcoming. This role requires a proactive approach to spot cleaning and an understanding of basic security measures, including the use of CCTV and surveillance systems to enhance loss prevention efforts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of facilities while adhering to safety protocols.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards in our log book.
• Assist in the implementation of loss prevention strategies by being vigilant and aware of surroundings.
• Conduct regular inspections of premises to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding security measures and sensitive information.
• Patrol the building and parkades throughout the shift making sure there are no unwanted guests or illegally parked vehicles on the premises.
• Report nightly activities in log book.

Qualifications

• Security Guard experience important
• Familiarity with CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and basic law enforcement principles is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $16.50-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
