Security/Loss Prevention Officer Part Time

Beauty Depot is looking for an experienced part-time Security Officer for our Super Center location 3000 Dunn Ave Ste 52 Jacksonville FL, 32218. We’re looking for a team player who ideally has retail security experience. Also with availability to work 3 days a week. We offer competitive pay and benefits after 1 year of full time employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats
• Investigate, document and manage security incidents and hazards
• Maintain knowledge/follows policies and procedures
• Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Monitoring surveillance equipment and inspecting the merchandise
• Informing violators of policy and procedures, as well as restraining trespassers or theft
• Investigate and report disturbances, hazards, and suspicious activities to local police for correction actions
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

Qualifications

• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local law
• 3-5 years of Security experience preferred
• Florida Security Guard D License
• Security experience in a retail setting
