Security Guard

We are seeking a Security Guard to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Check bags and 2 IDs upon entry
• Communicate with the team on a regular basis
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Promote company material when required
• Apprehend or expel patrons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Report any facility issues
• Call emergency personnel for high risk situations
• Report back to the department manager

Qualifications:

• Valid BC Security License
• OFA 1 would be an asset (not required)
• Must be fluent in English to talk to patrons
• Familiarity with security equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong attention to detail
• Helping other departments when in need

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 14 – 24 per week
