Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Shift Supervisor – Pharmaceutical Warehouse in North York, ON.

Title: Security Shift Supervisor – Pharmaceutical Warehouse

Type: Full Time

Location: North York, ON (close to Dufferin and Steeles)

Pay-rate: $22.00 to $23.40/hour

Shift: Various

Due to site requirements in pharmaceutical, individuals will be required to provide proof of vaccination for the following:

  • Diphtheria
  • Pertussis
  • Tetanus
  • Flu


Provincial coverage for vaccinations. Additional fees will be covered by Allied Universal that are associated with the vaccination process.

Allied Universal is currently hiring experienced Security Shift Supervisor – Pharmaceutical Warehouse for our operations in North York, ON. The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with strong communication abilities, a readiness to work rotating shifts, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor access control systems, CCTV, and alarm panels to ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.

  • Conduct comprehensive patrols of large indoor and outdoor areas, both on foot and by vehicle, ensuring all critical zones remain secure.

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with site management, staff, contractors, and the security team to maintain smooth operations.

  • Respond to security incidents, medical emergencies, and alarms with calm, efficient decision-making, following all site protocols and escalation procedures.

  • Lead and support security staff during the shift, including task delegation, performance oversight, and on-the-spot coaching when required.

  • Ensure accurate documentation, including incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handover notes.

  • Collaborate with team members to maintain consistent security coverage and ensure seamless transition between shifts.

  • Conduct regular patrols, inspections, and compliance checks to uphold pharmaceutical industry security standards, such as safeguarding sensitive areas and monitoring for safety hazards.

  • Assist with visitor management, badge issuance, and verification procedures to uphold strict regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in emergency response drills, incident investigations, and compliance audits as required by site protocols.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Must have 1-2 years of experience in a Hospital or Corporate Office Building.
  • Must be 25 years of age or older due to company vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Valid Ontario G-class driver’s license is preferred and clean driving record, G2 license will be considered.
  • Eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours a week, due to shift requirements.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
  • Standard CPR or willing to obtain one (reimbursement will be provided)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and use of computers
  • Proven experience with CCTV camera monitoring.
  • Position requires "foot patrols", extended periods of walking (indoors/outdoors)
  • Ability to drive in all weather conditions, as patrols are required using company vehicles.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR (reimbursement provided where necessary)
  • Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 15 kilograms.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
